Relationship Counseling at Keystone

Keystone Counseling is a couples counseling practice. Approximately 90% of our clients are couples, while the remaining 10% are individuals dealing with relationship and life transition concerns.

Our therapists have undergone education and training geared specifically towards how people function within a relationship system, whether that is a marriage, dating relationship, or family. They focus on healing the relationship rather than just the individuals within the relationship.

This focus on the system of interactions and needs within a relationship is advantageous to couples counseling because it changes patterns of conflict that simple behavior modification cannot fix. As a result, the changes you make become more natural and a permanent part of your relationship.

Distinct Perspectives of Marriage and Family Therapists

  • Relationships are constantly changing in varying degrees
  • Relationships go through developmental shifts
  • Relationships must fulfill a variety of needs for each partner
  • Every relationship is unique and must be treated as such

Code of Ethics for Marriage and Family Therapists

As members of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, Keystone Counseling therapists subscribe to a stringent code of ethics. Visit the AAMFT site to read through the code.
