I offer clinical supervision in Indianapolis on a one-on-one basis or in a group setting. The fee is $60 per 50 minute session and you are welcome to pay with cash, check, or credit card. Please continue reading to see how working with me will help you develop as the professional you want to be.
Marriage & Family Therapist Associates (LMFTA)
Marriage & Family Therapists can work with a diverse group of clients from individuals and couples to multi-generational families, and with age ranges spanning from children to retirees. The common thread through all of these types of clients is the systemic approach we take to the therapeutic process.
In working with me, you will strengthen your skills in applying systemic theories and build confidence in your decision making and treatment strategy. You will be challenged to define a theory to employ for each client as well as decide what intervention to implement to reach the treatment goals.
You will also begin to conceptualize your own niche within the MFT field. You will define the types of clients you feel best equipped to help, articulate your theory of change, determine the theories you prefer, and formulate a plan for continual professional and personal development.
AAMFT Approved Supervisor Candidates
As an AAMFT Approved Supervisor Candidate, you need to fulfill a requirement for supervision of your own role as a supervisor. We will discuss how to navigate the multiple hats and dual roles that come as a result of working both as a fellow therapist and supervisor to your colleagues in the field. We will discuss and practice different theories of supervision while helping you to establish your own unique approach to the supervisor role.
Post-Graduate Therapists – LMHC Track
Starting out as a new therapist can feel both exciting and overwhelming at the same time. In working with me you will gain confidence in the development of your own approach while being challenged to continually push yourself to learn and progress in your skill.
We will explore your interests and passions in order to define specific types of clients you most enjoy working with and the types of surroundings in which you flourish. Each practitioner is unique, and we will use your uniqueness to develop you into a strong professional.
When working on your own as a private practitioner, hearing a fresh perspective on your cases can help to refresh your outlook and move you past any stuck points you may be experiencing. I will work with you to present this objective point of view as well as provide the resources and support that can be difficult to come by as an independent therapist.
In addition, we can discuss the business development aspects of your private practice. We will examine what your desired case load is and how to achieve that volume, best practices for your website and other marketing, and how to make administration quick and easy. My aim is to focus the majority of your energy on your strength of helping your clients rather than running a business.
